6.3. Project Work Plan
The Cosmos Square project plan spans various phases of which some have been completed, others are on-going, and more
are being prepared.
Main Phases
- Completed
- Design: The initial metaphor, environment, and knowledge resource design phase started a few decades back
- Tools: The missing infrastructure tools design and development phase was realized mostly over the last decade
- Knowledge Architecture: Knowledge architecture principles have been formally articulated over the last 5 years
- Modeling Integration:
In great part as a result of better knowledge architecture specifications,
and also as a consequence to dedicated modeling standards integration,
2D (standard) modeling language and 3D animated modeling integration issues
have been resolved for the most part, especially over the past 3 years
- Current
- The current phase is the implementation phase which is organized in three main stages (year 1-3):
- Development: Developing a working solution, the focus of the current project and Development Work Plan,(year 1-2)
- Production: The next focus and project, bringing the developed solution to production level (year 2)
- Marketing: Marketing and launching the production ready solution and ensuring its optimal market penetration, a project briefly summarized
in the Marketing Stage Work Plan Summary (year 3)
- Future
- Operation: The operation ramp-up and market development phase (year 3-5)
- Cruise: The cruising operation and standard defining phase (year 5+)
The following Work Plan section summarizing the current project and implementation phase, while the Future Plan section
summarizes following phases.
