The Ocean is the outside external world where knowledge mostly lies in intuition, mostly "accidental", stochastic, and unstructured.

The Beach is a calm relaxing welcome access area, beautiful but relatively bare and uneventful, except for the social networking and preparation for a more structured journey.

The Beach is a progressive focus change or adjustment area, shifting objectives from the primitive "accidental" intuitive knowledge to a quest to complement this knowledge with structured intellectual understanding.

Orientation support and guidance is provided from Beach dwellers but also from Lodge activities that specifically aim at focusing and orienting visitors for the journey that awaits them.
